Pinspiration: Rebecca’s Birthday Party

It’s chef and owner Rebecca’s birthday this week, and we’re throwing her a spectacularly girly birthday party (You’re invited!).

To showcase the celebration, we decided to give you a sneak peak into both the party and our newest RJC blog series: Pinspiration. Each week, we’ll feature a different Pinterest board curated with images that evoke the spirit and ambiance of different event themes. See a pin you like? Then be sure to comment or contact us so our boards can jump off of the blog into your very own event space!

Pink & Brown: This color combo is unmistakably feminine. For a younger crowd, use accent pieces like a table runner, ribbon, or napkins in a cute polka dot pattern. For a classier guest list, tone down the hues to pale bubblegum and English tea. Bright ribbon candy tucked in apothecary jars will add a playful pop of bold color. Incorporating more brown in a buffet is easier when you think about it in food terms: Just offer dark-colored treats like snobinettes or bacon-topped cupcakes!

Breakfast at Tiffany’s: The clean, crisp duo of teal and white conjures two iconic and romanticized images: The delicate yet commanding legend, Audrey Hepburn, and the tiny, blue box that carries highly-anticipated adornments. Add instant elegance to your event with teal vases full of poofy hydrangea bouquets, a scattering of diamond table confetti between plates, or strings of jewel-dusted pearls hanging from chandeliers.

Vintage Frills: The feminine esthetics of 1950s home entertaining are glorious retro gems when left in their vintage state or updated with a modern twist. Dainty aprons can hang as a colorful backdrop all on their own, while mom’s old doilies can be updated to fancy, lace-like placemats.
